Replacing or restoring a chipped windshield can be an easy or tedious experience of possessing a car, depending on the approach you take. Windshield replacement is not an easy task; it demands strength, a pair of steady hands, and a willingness to follow instructions cautiously.
All cars are unique, most of the time, removing a windscreen requires loosening the urethane that supports it in place, then carefully lifting it out. Once this is done, the remaining urethane must be cleared away with a utility knife to make room for the windscreen replacement. The new windshield is then glued into position, and secured with bolts. An extremely important step is to ensure that the new urethane seal is applied properly, because any leaks can cause wind to get into the vehicle, totally ruining the experience of driving.
You do not always need to replace your windshield if it has a chip, it may be feasible to repair it instead of replacing it. Windscreen repair is a considerably easier procedure. Repair kits are sold by nearly every auto parts store, and involves sealing off the chip with resin. The resin the clear and does not leave a mark, and once the process is finished, it is nearly impossible to tell that the windscreen was ever chipped off. Windshield repair kits can be unreliable when used to fix large cracks, however, and can sometimes make the problem worse, needing a replacement. This job is often better left to professionals.
If you decide to let a professional handle your windshield repair or replacement, you may be delighted to find that this is one of the few auto repair jobs that does not require your car to be brought to a garage. Many repair companies offer mobile services, which can be completed in a matter of an hour or less, even if the windshield needs to be replaced completely. Mobile windscreen repair services are able to perform the service at the comfort of your own home, or at work, making the process an extremely convenient one.

These sites were critical to my safety and energy starting a little while ago. You should find something of value here today. This is simply a roundup – that I think will be useful to somebody out there.
Camping Tent
A couple days ago we got back from camping. The weather was supposed to be nice but you’re supposed to prepare for the worst. Shopping before a camping trip is fun – especially online. We found a good camping tent. Shipping a tent online can be stressful…luckily the dang thing made it to us on time. At first I thought I had the wrong camping tent, then we assembled it and it was good. Shipping was free. I couldn’t believe it. The mountains are so beautiful. It was an awesome time. So refreshing!
Home Security System
In planning for a week long camping trip, I thought it would be a good time now to get a security system for the house. What do you do if your pics are all on your computer and a breakin happens? Sad day. The computer has all our photos and memories stored on it. Scary. We got a security system installed after bouncing around online looking for a good local reputable company. They installed it that day! We are more willing to leave the house now for long periods of time. More vacation here I come!
Good Drinks for Camping
Energy is required in large amounts for hiking, cooking, living in the wild. We quickly found out how much of a energy boost efusjon could give us – it was awesome. Efusjon came to the rescue really fast. haha – I had to drink two or three on the first day with a big hike, rock climbing and more. Efusjon is great for the drink and for the income opportunity. You won’t regret joining the efusjon opportunity if you do. Get in on the opportunity now!
Talk with you later. I know you’ll enjoy these sites!

While a new video game console can bring your family entertainment for many hours, picking the wrong one due to bad information can lead to serious disappointment. There is a baffling number of choices on the game console market. The information you are looking for can be very difficult to find, but you will find there’s a lot of misinformation out there.
First off, here are some questions that you need to ask yourself and you should keep in mind while reading:
-What are the types of games that interest you?
Are you an HDTV owner, or do you intend to buy one?
Why dont we go over your financial situation so we can figure out what your budget is for it?
Do you prefer multi-player games, or single-player games?
Do you currently have any of the old game systems?
There was a period in time where one could not find a game system that cost more. Fortunately, prices are lower now than at that time. Now priced at four hundred US dollars (it all depends on the model you plan on buying)it has pricing that is more attractive compared their competitors. Prices change constantly so chech the latest games consoles prices online.
The PS3 is an experience, it is more than just a game console. As it’s compatible with Blu-Ray, CD, and DVD media, it also has the ability to play DVDs in HD. Blu-Ray is now the leading high-definition film format; thus, if you’ve got an HDTV but no HD movie player, a PS3 might be a great means of getting both your movie and your gaming needs met in just one place. Without an HDTV display, movies in Blu-ray format don’t provide any better quality. That feature will not be of any use to you if you have only an old-fashioned standard-def TV.
While the PS2 controller is nearly identical to it, this unique controller utilizes a motion sensing technology known as Sisaxis. The controller can be tilted Six different direction for interactive game play. The results vary from game to game based on well this has been incorporated. Doing it well means you’ll gain lots of experience, doing it wrong means you’ll be nothing more than a problem. The vibration feature is missing from the Sixaxis controller. The DualShock 3 controller with vibration will not be included with the new PS3’s, even though it has been released, until June 12, 2008.
You will find a lot of the same games for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Used laptop computers are everywhere these days. How can you sift through the mass of available used laptop computers to narrow your search down to the right laptop for you? This is the third part of a series of articles designed to give you a few suggestions for your next purchase.
Test the Keyboard and Built-in Mouse
When you get an operating system up and running, open a text file like notepad and start typing on the keyboard. How do the keys feel? If they are sticking, this may indicate coffee or another liquid having been dropped on the computer. A definite red flag.
Is the built-in mouse functioning properly? If it isn’t, understand that this could seriously hamper the portability of the laptop. Using an external mouse when you are on the go can be very inconvenient.
Laptop Battery: Don’t expect much
Laptop batteries generally don’t maintain a full charge for more than a year or two at most. The manufacture date of the laptop is often found on its underside. If the manufacture date is more than two years and it has an original battery, consider yourself lucky with any battery life you get. Most used computer dealers will not give you any warranty for the battery. An extra battery is always a wise purchase when buying a used laptop. Consider asking the dealer what it would cost to get another one.
Laptop multimedia: Testing the sound and video.
Sound and video are both things that are important to some people and not to others. If you see yourself listening to music using the laptop speakers, try to play some music on them to see how they sound. You may want to cart a music CD with you along with your Knoppix CD. Have realistic expectations though. Laptop speakers rarely sound full. They usually have a tinny sound with lots of treble and little bass.
If you plan on watching movies on the laptop, you may want to consider choosing a used laptop computer with a DVD-ROM drive in it. If that is important to you, I would suggest you carry a DVD movie with you to evaluate how well the laptop plays back video. If it pauses and labors with the DVD, you may want to consider another laptop.
Stay tuned for our fourth and final article on tips you should follow when purchasing a used laptop computer.

Remember when PCs first came out and you had 4K of RAM? Then the Atari 1600 came out with 16K of RAM. The price tag on that thing was astronomical.
We have come a long way from those early days. Today your standard PC has 32 bit processors and a minimum of 128 meg of RAM and even that amount will barely run anything.
Windows XP recommends that you run the operating system with a minimum of 64 meg. Anyone who has tried to run Windows XP on 64 meg of RAM knows that the PC itself runs at a snails pace. You can actually follow the redraw rate on your windows applications as they open up. Painful doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Given that fact, when you then take the recommendations for running Windows Vista with 512 meg of RAM one can only imagine what the actual requirements will be to run the system anywhere near what would be acceptable. We’re probably talking about somewhere in the area of 1 gig. Maybe even 2 or 4 gig depending on how heavy your applications are. That is simply a mind boggling amount of memory when you go back as recently as the late 1990s when your highest end network systems didn’t need more than 256 meg of RAM.
While 64 bit processors are slow to hit the ground running, eventually they will be a requirement as 32 bit processors simply won’t be able to do the job anymore because 32 bit processors can’t address more than 4 gig of RAM. As a matter of fact the current Intel Pentium 4 (EM64T) and AMD Athlon 64 (AMD64) desktop computer processors can handle 1024GB (1 Terabyte) of memory. You read correctly; 1 Terabyte. It won’t be long before software manufacturers take advantage of all that power.
Looking at today’s games it is painfully clear that only 1 gig memory just isn’t going to cut it. In most high end games there is a 20% increase in frames per second just going from 1 gig to 2 gig of system memory.
The experts all agree that with the rapid progress in technology both on the hardware and software end the period in time where computer memory requirements stabilize will most likely never come to pass until we have physically reached the point where we can no longer count that high. Eventually there is only so much bologna that we’ll be able to stuff into that 5 pound bag. So it is not inconceivable that in the near future, possibly as near as the next 4 or 5 years, a typical system memory requirement will look something like this.
Windows 3000. Minimum memory to run operating system, 10 gig. Memory to run Windows Work Suite XXXP, 50 gig. If running simultaneous triple bilateral supercharged processors suggested memory is 100 gig.
While the above dramatization may sound quite amusing and even a little absurd, it’s really not as far out of the realm of possibility as it sounds. If you have any doubts then I suggest you dig your Atari 1600 out of the closet.
