In many ways, Caribbean Stud online poker is a stripped down version of a traditional draw casino poker game. It is quick, simple, and fast paced. One of the key components of this rapid fire version of poker online is the fact that it allows more poker hands than your run of the mill poker game. Most poker varieties require you to have a pair of jacks or better to even be eligible for the pot. Not so in Caribbean stud poker. For starters, any pair is considered valid. You don’t need to deal with any fiddly jacks or better rule at the Caribbean stud poker table; a pair of threes is just as legitimate as a pair of Aces.

The main hand ranking difference in Caribbean Stud Poker, however, is that you don’t even need a pair to be eligible to collect. The lowest value hand in Caribbean Stud Poker is any hand that has at least an Ace and a King. The cards can be totally out of order and in different suits, but as long as you have an Ace and King you can collect. Of course, your hand will need to be able to beat the dealer’s hand if you want to take the pot, but it’s always good to know that are eligible to compete.
